£10k bounty for three men with Essex links wanted over murder of dad in Leamington Spa*

Crimestoppers are assisting the police in the investigation following the fatal shooting of a dad in Leamington Spa last year

A £30,000 reward pot has been put up in the hunt for three men wanted over the fatal shooting of a much-loved dad. ‘Prankster’ Ben Daly was found with a gunshot wound on Ranelagh Terrace in Leamington Spa on August 10 last year. Warwickshire Police believe he was shot in Frances Havergal Close earlier that day.

He was rushed to hospital but later died. One person from Romford – Liviu Sandor, 19 – has so far been charged with murder. Now up to £10,000 for each man has been put up by Crimestoppers – which is independent of the police – for information leading to the arrests of Kevin Vucini, 25, Brigen Carrica ‘Qarrica’, 21, and Rrezon Cengu, 22. All three men have links to Essex.

They may also have ties to London, with Cengu having ties with Luton. Alan Edwards, Crimestoppers’ regional manager, urged the public not to approach the men.

He said: “Our charity is supporting the police as they hunt for these men by offering a reward and reminding everyone – especially those who may be intimidated into silence – that they have the option to stay completely anonymous. If you know where they are and you contact Crimestoppers directly, you could be entitled to a reward. Up to £10,000 is available for each of the three individuals.

“Our charity is here for you if you do not want to speak to the authorities directly and prefer not to give your personal details. Crimestoppers is independent of the police and guarantees you stay completely anonymous. Crimestoppers is open 24/7, 365 days a year, both online and on the phone. Nobody will ever know you contacted us and you will be doing the right thing for Ben’s loved ones.”

Mr Daly’s family previously paid tribute to him following his tragic death. They said: “Ben was a much-loved father, son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend. He was our one and only. You brought so much love and laughter to us all. Your pranks kept so many people on their toes. We love you so very much and we’ll hold you in our hearts forever.”

The information must be provided directly to the charity and lead to the arrest of Vucini, Carrica and Cengu. The rewards are available for three months and are due to expire on June 4 2024. Contact Crimestoppers using an anonymous online form at Crimestoppers-uk.org or Fearless.org for young people or call 0800 555 111.

The rewards will only be payable for information passed directly to Crimestoppers and not to the police. A reward code must be asked for when calling our charity on 0800 555 111. If you contact Crimestoppers via the anonymous online form, the ‘keeping in contact’ facility must be used and a reward code must be requested.
