It will now be in the running for regional titles as well as the title of national pub and bar of the year during an awards ceremony in June. Based in The Parade, The House has a number of glowing reviews on TripAdvisor.
A ‘fab’ local bar has scooped a title in the National Pub and Bar Awards 2024. Every year, the awards crown 94 ‘county winners’ and The House in Leamington Spa has taken the honours for Warwickshire.
A patron referred to it as “fab” bar. The reviewer exclaimed, “I like this location! This has to be one of my favourite bars—we visit our son in Leamington Spa a few times a year. The furnishings are cosy and welcoming, and the staff is amiable. There are a tonne of tables and chairs available, including coffee tables, high bars, dining tables, and bigger group tables.
“Whatever type of experience you’re looking for, I think this place does it well. Plenty of selection at the bar. Prices are reflective of a good bar.”
Others praised the meals, mentioning in particular its Sunday roasts, stating something like this: “The food was delicious and visually appealing, with a generous serving size, and the service was exceptional.” We were served by the manager, who was really kind and helpful. One of the finest martinis I’ve ever had in Leamington was the pornstar one I drank.
“The location is particularly excellent; it boasts a pleasant, homey ambiance with low lighting and tasteful yet inviting furnishings. Would without a doubt suggest!
The Tamworth Arms for West Midlands, The Tally Ho Inn in Shropshire, and The Fitzherbert Arms in Staffordshire were the other winners in the region of West Midlands.
