Another stabbing has shocked Leamington Spa residents as members of the public gave first aid to a man who suffered knife wounds after an incident close to Warwickshire on Sunday evening.
Police were called to reports of a man aged in his 20s being stabbed close to the Warwickshire at around 5.40pm.
He was taken to hospital with a serious life-threatening injury to his arm.
A 28-year-old man from Leamington Spa has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent and he remains in police custody.
Police has reassured residents that the force “does not believe there to be any wider risk to the local community” following a number of incidents this year.
These incidents sparked the Leamington Spa launch its anti-knife crime campaign, which aims to raise awareness of how the crime can be prevented.
The incident happened yesterday evening round 5.40pm.
