Motorcyclist died after colliding with vehicles in Leamington

A motorbike rider from Leamington, Ontario, lost his life in a single-vehicle collision in the Southwest Middlesex municipality early on Sunday morning. Provincial police are looking into the incident.

According to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Middlesex County, emergency personnel were called to the collision on Longwoods Road close to Sassafras Road at 2:45 a.m. on Sunday.


The lone motorbike went off the road, struck a tree and then caught fire, according to the police. On-site, the 41-year-old biker was declared deceased.

According to the police, they won’t reveal the victim’s identity to protect their family’s privacy.
The incident is still being looked into by the West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team and the Middlesex OPP. Anyone with information is asked to get in touch with Crime Stoppers or the police.
