Crysencio Summerville went home and cried after what he did at Leeds

Crysencio Summerville knew that one day he would be a Premier League footballer but he could not stop the tears following his league debut with Leeds United.

Watching BBC’s Match of the Day as a kid, Summerville had his eyes set on the top tier of English football for years.

The 22-year-old joined the Whites in April 2021 but did not make his Premier League debut until the 2021/22 season, when he came on as a substitute against Newcastle United.

“We used to watch Match of the Day for Premier League highlights,” he revealed on the official podcast of Leeds United (11 December).

“When I was about 12 years old, I told my brother that England had the best league in the world and that one day I would play there.”

“I came home crying after making my debut in 2021 because I didn’t expect it to happen.” You can’t always just say things, yet this happened.

“Looking back, I am so proud that I can say I made it to the Premier League.”

Taking advantage of the situation

Leeds provided Summerville with the opportunity to demonstrate to everyone what he has believed in himself since he was a child. And the winger has already repaid that faith, particularly this season.

He has made 60 appearances for the Whites since his debut, scoring 13 goals, nine of which have come this season in a fantastic start to the season.

Despite being relegated last season, the Dutchman managed four goals, one of which was a stunner against Liverpool in a 2-1 away triumph at Anfield – a fantastic memory for both players and fans.

Despite the fact that Elland Road is.

Summerville, Dan James, Joel Piroe, and Georginio Rutter could return to the Premier League next season if his outstanding success continues.

But knowing how important football is to Summerville and his desire to play in the Premier League instills optimism in the club that they will be back in the top flight without a long-awaited return like last time.

In other Leeds United news, a first-team player has been diagnosed with surgery and will be sidelined for several weeks.
