Ex-Leeds United star lands managerial role with non-league outfit

Former Sheffield United and Leeds United goalkeeper Paddy Kenny has been appointed joint-manager of non-league outfit Goole.

Kenny will share managerial responsibilities at the ninth-tier outfit with former Armthorpe Welfare coach Nathan Heilliwell.

The move marks a return to coaching for Kenny, who had a stint working with goalkeepers at Northampton Town near the end of his playing career.

“First of all, we would like to thank everyone who applied for the position of first team manager,” stated Goole in an official statement.

The club committee convened over the weekend to assess all of the applications and create a shortlist of candidates for interviews because of the large volume of submissions.
