LEEDS UNITED FOUNDATION CELEBRATE PARTNERSHIP WITH ARLA

A special event was held at Elland Road to commemorate the occasion. Twenty Arla representatives were present, and ninety students from Beeston Primary School were invited to attend with their teachers. The students participated in a variety of educational workshops, which included a talk by some local Arla farmers about how food is produced for supermarkets, how to make smoothies, and mental health. Additionally, the students had the opportunity to tak

e a penalty kick against Lucas the Kop Cat and tour the stadium.

In addition, Charlie Allen and Luca Thomas, two Under-21 play

ers, surprised the kids by stopping by during the occasion. Towards the end of the day, the Leeds United pair spent some time taking pictures and responding to inquiries from the students and others present.

For many years, Arla has been the official charity of the club. Through their support, the Healthy Families programme, which includes our Healthy Holiday half-term camps and the Healthy Schools sessions

that are held during the school year for young students in Years 1, 2, 3, and 4, is delivered.

In addition to enhancing the health, safety, and well-being of children and their families, the Healthy Families initiative helps those living in underprivileged areas of the city by supplying food hampers during difficult times. This is especially helpful for children who would otherwise be eligible for free school meals during the summer.

“The partnership with Arla has allowed us to work in our local communities, supporting local families with a range of activities including primary school lessons and holiday provision, which encourages young people to lead active lifestyles, developing skills and build confidence,” stated Rachel Newman, the Leeds United Foundation’s Healthy Families Lead.
