Leeds United reportedly have a speculative eye on Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies.
The Whites have lost two defenders in the current window, leaving them rather light on bodies at the back. Djed Spence’s loan stay at Elland Road was cut short before the long-serving Luke Ayling was allowed to join Middlesbrough on loan.
The Whites are lacking in bodies at the back after losing two defenders in the current window. Before Luke Ayling, who had been with Elland Road for a long time, was permitted to sign a loan with Middlesbrough, Djed Spence’s tenure on loan was terminated.
Now that Charlie Cresswell is supposedly drawing interest from numerous Championship clubs, speculation about his future is rampant.
Davies is the most recent defender to be mentioned as a possible target, so it is not surprising that Leeds is being linked to a number of defenders. The Athletic claims Leeds is keeping a watch on the 31-year-old in case Tottenham makes him available for a loan.
Davies would definitely be a steal for Leeds, especially since he has started nine of the last ten Premier League games for Tottenham.
With Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu, and Daniel James already in his squad, Daniel Farke may be able to use Leeds’ sizable Welsh contingent as a negotiating chip.
This season, the Whites have already negotiated loan deals for Rodon and Spence with Tottenham twice.
