The Leeds United transfer altercation

The Daily Mirror claims that Leeds United and Sheffield United are at “loggerheads” over a summer transfer for Jayden Bogle.

The newspaper stated in print on July 17 that, should a move happen, the Blades are seeking at least £7 million for the right-back.

That is, even though Leeds is currently making offers below the asking price and the defender’s contract expires at the end of the season.

Leeds United shouldn’t pay £7million for Jayden Bogle

Since Rasmus Kristensen appears to be heading to Eintracht Frankfurt, Leeds only has one natural right-back in their lineup, which is to say that the right-back situation at the position is pretty bad right now [Florian Plettenberg, 16 July].

Daniel Farke has a bit of a gap to fill after players like Jamie Shackleton and Archie Grey left Elland Road this summer.

Although Djed Spence and Connor Roberts were both on loan to the West Yorkshire team at different times during the previous campaign, it appears that their time with the Whites will not be extended.

Even though having enough full-back depth for the team should be Farke’s top priority this summer, they shouldn’t be spending £7 million on Bogle—especially since he only has one year left on his deal.

Although the 23-year-old is still young and has a lot of potential, the price tag still seems high, so Leeds may decide to look elsewhere.
