on from 49ers EnJaidon Anthony must take advantage of Wilfried Gnonto’s injury setback for Leeds United, as his performance may force a transfer decisiterprises.

Due to an ankle ligament injury, Wilfried Gnonto will likely miss a significant amount of time for Leeds United. Jaidon Anthony may now have the opportunity to finally make an impact.

.The winger from Italy left the 0-0 draw against Hull at the MKM stadium after 21 minutes due to an ankle injury that was later determined to be lateral ankle ligament damage.

In his pre-game press conference on Friday, September 22, Farke stated that it is “bad news” and that he will not play against Watford as they wait for a final determination on how long he will be sidelined.

He damaged the lateral ankle ligaments, which is bad news, the doctor remarked. He won’t be available for tomorrow, but the length of his absence will be determined by the assessment this afternoon.

Given how highly regarded Gnonto is at the club and by manager Daniel Farke, his injury at Elland Road is undoubtedly bad news, but Leeds United has plenty of attacking options to step in and make an impact right away.

Dan James, Crycensio Summerville, Ian Poveda, and Joe Gelhardt are all capable of replacing Gnonto in the lineup, but Bournemouth loanee Anthony, who joined Elland Road on a season-long loan, believes his experience at the highest level of the Premier League will immediately put him in Farke’s consideration to have an impact in the championship.

The 23-year-old winger is every bit as gifted and talented as any of the aforementioned players, and he is a lock to have an immediate impact given his recent success in the Championship the season before last. He was a key contributor to Scott Parker’s promotion success at the Vitality Stadium during the 2021/22 season.

Anthony contributed to the Cherries’ fight for Premier League survival by scoring eight goals, dishing out six assists, and playing in all 30 games under Gary O’Neil last season. The 23-year-old is therefore well-equipped to succeed under Farke’s guidance quickly.

After Gnonto’s injury setback, the 23-year-old London-born winger will be vying for regular starts. He has been there and earned the t-shirt.

Who knows, if Anthony keeps performing at a high level and helps the Whites’ hopes of promotion this season, Farke might be pressuring the club’s owners, 49ers Enterprises, to make a quick permanent transfer decision next summer.
