Leeds United fringe star Joe Gelhardt is on the wish list of several clubs in the Championship, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
After Leeds was relegated to the Championship and Gelhardt had a good loan experience at Sunderland, he was expected to be given an opportunity at Leeds this season.
Despite being on the bench against Blackburn Rovers, the striker is firmly on the outskirts under Daniel Farke, and it doesn’t seem like his opportunities will get much better.s not used as a substitute. Farke used five substitutions overall, but Gelhardt was not one of them.
However, the attacker might have a way out of Leeds by the end of next month.
Many Championship teams, including Hull City and Huddersfield Town, have him on their wish list.
Gelhardt would probably have more first team opportunities in the second half of the season if he left Leeds.
If Farke thinks he has enough attacking options available in reserve, he might agree to allow Gelhardt to go on loan.
