LEEDS UNITED WELCOME NEW HER GAME TOO REPRESENTATIVE

Celebrating women in football.

Leeds United are delighted to welcome a new Her Game Too representative for the club for the 2023/24 season.

Levi Macleod is a lifelong supporter and is relishing the chance to be more involved with the club whilst encouraging females to always feel included and welcome as part of the Leeds United family.

The club has been working with Her Game Too since the 2021/22 season, officially partnering the campaign to tackle sexism and champion and support women in sport. Since then, the two parties have worked together on a number of matchday activations and individual cases with the support of our previous Leeds Untied representative, Jessica Furness, who we would like to say a huge thank you to for all of her hard work.

To help celebrate becoming our new Her Game Too representative, Levi was invited to Thorp Arch recently to meet with the Leeds United Women’s team along with a group of young aspiring female footballers that she helps to coach.

The local youngsters came prepared with questions to ask Olivia Smart, Rebekah Bass, Paige Williams and Izzy Elliott, before they were able to meet the rest of the squad and have photos taken ahead of watching their training session in person.

Levi Macleod spoke to LUTV during the visit to our training ground, and she said: “Her Game Too is all about getting girls to feel more included within football and to make it an equal sport. It’s helped so many girls to get together, to watch football and to play football – all in a safe environment.

“It has been great to come down here tonight with these girls because they’ve been able to ask questions that they want answers to because they are all aspiring footballers. They all live and breath football, and they put so much into it because thet’s what they want to do in the future – and that’s what Her Game Too is all about, encouraging and empowering girls to live their dream.”
