Former Leicester star warns the Foxes that Ipswich aren’t going to win the match.

After their disappointing loss at Leeds United, Matt Piper has forewarned Leicester City that Ipswich Town will be determined to respond against the Foxes.

The previous time Ipswich played, they were humiliated 4-0 at Elland Road by Leeds. It was just Kieran McKenna’s team’s third loss of the year, and they remain second in the Championship rankings.

On Boxing Day, Ipswich will play host to table-toppers Leicester at Portman Road in another important match.

The former Leicester player is confident that the Ipswich players will put on a strong show for the Foxes and that the Portman Road supporters will generate a lively atmosphere. It’s going to be tough, Piper stated on the BBC’s When You’re Smiling Podcast.

Although Piper emphasised that the Foxes will find a team that will be trying to respond to their performance against Leeds, Leicester leads Ipswich by six points.

“After their disappointing start to the season, they won’t want to lose two straight.

“They will not respond to losing again, especially at home and on Boxing Day, after being thoroughly destroyed by Leeds rather convincingly.

“They’re coming out of the traps and Ipswich are good at home, so the crowd will be rowdy.”

In an attempt to hold onto their lead over Leeds, Ipswich, who has lost their past two games, will be hoping to resume their winning ways today.
