Brandon Cooper issues distressing statement as he signs for the O’s:

Cooper talks through his delight at rejoining the O’s, just how much he is looking forward to getting in front of the supporters at Gaughan Group Stadium once more, and what the main factors were in influencing his decision to return to E10.

“There are lots of attractive things about the club. I loved my time here, and it was a no-brainer for me to come back.”

Cooper, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Gaughan Group Stadium, made 17 appearances for the O’s with 13 of those coming as starts in Sky Bet League One.

After five loans away from South Wales, with spells at Yeovil Town, Newport County, Swindon Town, Forest Green Rovers, and the O’s, Cooper joins Orient permanently after eighteen years at the Swansea.com Stadium.

Brandon Cooper rejoins the O's on permanent dealThe centre-back has also made inroads on the international stage, making nine appearances for the Wales U21 side. Cooper was called up to the senior squad in March of 2021, for a friendly versus Mexico and a World Cup qualifier against the Czech Republic.

On rejoining the O’s, Cooper expressed his delight, stating: “Everything about the club made me want to come back. Playing at the stadium in front of the fans who fill out the ground almost every week and the style of play suits me well. There are lots of attractive things about the club. I loved my time here, and it was a no-brainer for me to come back.”

Orient Head Coach Richie Wellens also stated his satisfaction in securing a permanent move for Cooper. Wellens said: “We’re really happy to have secured Brandon on a permanent deal. Brandon came in and was fantastic for the first few months of the season. We think that there is real room for development in him, and I think he can go on to become a really good player for the club.”
