Leyton Orient have confirmed the signing of former Cardiff City defender Jack Simpson on a short-term deal ahead of this weekend’s game against Bristol Rovers at Brisbane Road.
The 27-year-old left Cardiff back in August by mutual consent after being charged with misconduct by the FA. As stated on Orient’s official website, “Simpson allegedly used language towards a teammate that was abusive and/or insulting and/or improper, contrary to FA Rule E3.1. It was further alleged that that this language constitutes an ‘aggravated breach’, which is defined in FA Rule E3.2, as it included a reference – whether express or implied – to race and/or colour.”
