Orient Head Coach Richie Wellens has today been fined £2,400 for misconduct by the FA after his red card at Oxford United on February 24.
Wellens has not however been given a sporting sanction, so will not be subject to a touchline ban.
The FA released the following statement this afternoon: “Richie Wellens has been fined £2,400 for misconduct that took place during Leyton Orient’s game against Oxford United in the EFL League One on Saturday 24 February.
“The manager admitted that he acted improperly in the 85th minute, which led to his dismissal, and an independent Regulatory Commission imposed his fine during a subsequent hearing.”
