This is to inform our esteem supporters that we are working roun the clock to make sure that, we prioritize the welfare, feelings and emotions of our players, supporters and staffs therefore making all arrangement for your welfare.
The top layer of grass and old roots were removed on Monday before turning over the bottom layer and spreading on a new layer of fibresand – which has been mixed together to create a consistent fibresand base for the new pitch.
The routine annual maintenance by the club’s partners Fineturf helps prolong the fibresand element of the pitch ahead of the new season.
Over the coming days fertiliser will be spread and the grass seed will be sown. The grass will then be allowed to regrow over the next couple of weeks.
The annual pitch maintenance has already begun to help prepare the LNER Stadium playing surface for the 24/25 season.
We will ensure that the pitch is in perfect shape before the start of next season, and it will be in the best shape and quality.
