Road closed as man die and three injured after car overturns on M4

On the M4 motorway in west London, a car overturned, killing a man and injuring three more.

When police dealt with the incident that occurred on the eastbound carriageway close to the Cranford Park interchange at 11:39 on Sunday morning, the motorway was closed in both directions.

According to a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police, two men were transported to the hospital with “life-threatening injuries,” and one man, who was thought to be in his 20s, passed away at the scene.

After receiving minor medical attention, the fourth casualty was transported to a hospital.

A social media post depicted a burning car beside the highway, with someone attempting to extinguish the flames with a fire extinguisher.

After the fire was extinguished, firefighters were seen handling the car in another post.

“Officers are appealing for witnesses and any dashcam footage following a fatal collision on the M4 in west London,” a police spokesperson stated.

“At 11.39am, officers were called to reports of an overturned car on the eastbound M4 near to the Cranford Park Interchange.

“Emergency services attended and four people were found with injuries, all of whom had been travelling in the car, a Mercedes.

“A man who was believed to be in his 20s passed away at the scene. He was riding in the backseat of the vehicle. We are currently notifying his next of kin.

Two more men, who were reportedly in their 20s, were brought to the hospital with potentially fatal wounds.

“A fourth individual received on-site care for minor wounds before being transported to a hospital.

“Enquiries are being conducted by officers from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command to determine the circumstances.”

“We were called at 11.34am today to reports of a road traffic collision on the M4, Hayes,” a spokesman for the London Ambulance Service stated.

Three ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer, a clinical team manager, members of our hazardous area response team, and our tactical response unit were among the many resources we dispatched to the scene.

Additionally, we sent out London’s Air Ambulance.

“Three patients were treated by us on the spot, and then they were transported to a major trauma centre. Sadly, someone was declared dead at the scene.
