If anything, O’Hoppe can take what he learned from Ohtani to help him continue improving his own game. Ohtani is one of the smartest players in the league, so O’Hoppe must have learned some things from him during their time together.
Players like Ohtani tend to rub off on others around them, and O’Hoppe will be no different. He will be a better player for the time spent with the two-way superstar.
He is already one of the Angels’ most exciting young players, and he will be looking to improve on his 2023 season. O’Hoppe hit. 236 with 14 home runs and 29 runs batted in over 51 games. He missed a good chunk of time due to injury, but came back strong down the stretch of the season.
