Where do the Angels go from here?
The Los Angeles Angels are in a very strange spot at the moment. They aren’t currently viewed as a top contender, but they also could be a surprise team next season.
Even with two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani bolting for Los Angeles, the Angels still have a decent roster. It’s more or less one of hope, but things could be a lot worse.
The front office has been trying to upgrade all across the board, with starting pitching rising to the forefront. The Halos have solid arms, but they also understand they are lacking a true ace-level starter.
The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal provided the latest update on the Halos’ free agency plans while on the Foul Territory show. He once again aligned them with going after help for the rotation.
“They are linked and will be linked to starting pitchers. I do expect them to spend. I do expect them to be relatively aggressive.”
