Louisville football staff on the road this week for new prospect:

The Louisville football staff spent Friday seeing the top prospects across the state of Kentucky

The University of Louisville football staff will be back on the road on Tuesday.

The staff is expected to be on the road checking out prospects in the Class of 2025 and ’26 and beyond. The transfer portal has been the main focus for the staff since the end of the season, but they have also been focusing on the future in high school recruiting as well.

U of L head coach Jeff Brohm said during his signing day press conference that he wants to see a “good balance” of high school recruiting along with transfer portal additions.

“I do think if we can recruit difference makers in the high school ranks, we can provide them with an early opportunity to get on the field and showcase what they’re all about,” Brohm said. “We’re going to work hard to do that. And, you know, we’ve done it before. And it’s worked very well.

“We want to continue to provide that for top prospects across this state and the surrounding states as well.”

The first day of the current evaluation period was Friday when the staff spent the day at schools across the state of Kentucky. Brohm and his 10 full-time assistants made it to a total of 43 schools in the Bluegrass State and one in Southern Indiana on Friday.

Now, the coaches are expected all over the country this week.

Cardinal Authority will keep you posted on where the coaches are recruiting, but the expectation is that assistant coaches will spend time in Florida, Georgia, Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, and perhaps several other states during this week.

“We want to make sure we are recruiting the best players at each position that can help us win games,” Brohm said.
