Tragedy as man’s body found in Louth after intensive search

The body of a missing Louth man has sadly been discovered in a wooded area in Lincolnshire.

David Peat, 55, had been missing since Sunday, August 4 and was discovered in an area of land near Kenwick Hill Roundabout on Tuesday August 6, . It is yet unclear how the body was discovered or what happened to David.

A file has now been passed over to the coroner who will look into the cause of his sad passing. Since the original appeal, Lincolnshire Police continued to ask for help in locating David with renewed appeals issued after his disappearance.

After the initial appeal, Lincolnshire Police released a new image of him asking for any help to locate him, five days on from the first report of his disappearance. At the time, they said they were concerned for his welfare and asked people to check CCTV and doorbell footage to help.

David was last seen in the Louth area at around 11:30pm on Saturday, August 3, wearing black jogging trousers, a black mid-length jacket and brown walking trainers.
