Man murder woman and burn her body

A guy has been found guilty of murder after killing a woman and trying to hide his identity by setting her body on fire.
Victoria Greenwood, 41, was killed by Robert Brown, 38, of Hitchin Road, Luton. Her body was found in a Hertfordshire parking lot last year.
He had made plans to meet Ms Greenwood, a sex worker, at his flat early on Friday, November 10, according to testimony given at Luton Crown Court.

CCTV footage showed her on the ground outside attempting to flee but being dragged back inside the building.

Brown was discovered by detectives from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit to have made several excursions to several stores that weekend, purchasing a wide range of goods like a saw, a jerry can, a foldable sack barrow, and an abundance of cleaning supplies.
On November 12, CCTV saw him moving a sizable furniture unit covered in duct tape—which contained Ms. Greenwood’s body—from his apartment to his vehicle using a sack barrow.
Later that night, he was again observed filling a container with petrol at a nearby petrol station.

Two days later, there were allegations of a body on fire, prompting emergency services to be rushed to a car park near Wallington, Hertfordshire.

Brown had already entered a guilty plea to hindering a coroner’s performance of their duties.
Detective Justine Jenkins stated: “The violence and terror that Brown inflicted on a vulnerable woman, and the lengths he went to in covering up his crime, reveal a deeply disturbing and calculated nature.”His actions caused Victoria’s loved ones much suffering in addition to the awful loss of life.

Unfortunately, the nature of sex work can put employees at danger for assault, and those who commit crimes frequently take advantage of the fact that they are in a quiet or remote location.

“We remain committed to apprehending dangerous individuals and providing comprehensive support, alongside partner agencies, to reduce the risks faced by sex workers and ensure their safety.”
Judgement on Brown is scheduled for June 7.
