After being found guilty of the murder of a man who was fatally stabbed in Luton, two adolescents were sentenced to life in prison.
Umer Choudhury, 18, and a 17-year-old youngster who cannot be identified due to legal reasons were sentenced on Friday, May 17, for the murder of Omar Khan, 38.
In September of last year, Mr Khan was fatally stabbed next to a queue of stores in Sundon Park. Following the incident, a second victim suffered injuries that could change their life.
Choudhury, of Tulip Close, Luton, was given a life sentence for the murder charge and will have to spend at least eighteen years in jail.
In addition, he received concurrent sentences of two years and nine months for narcotics crimes and six and a half years for causing grievous bodily damage.
For the crime of murder, the 17-year-old received a life sentence with a minimum of 20 years in prison.
