California’s Fresno (KSEE/KGPE) According to the Fresno Fire Department, an automobile in the drive-thru queue at a Starbucks in Fresno caught fire on Wednesday morning, leaving the front of the car melted and scorched.
At around 9:50 a.m., crews were sent to the intersection of Clovis Avenue and Kings Canyon Road in response to a complaint of a burning car in the Starbucks drive-thru. The car’s driver reported smelling smoke coming from the engine area. Before the fire brigade arrived, they managed to transfer the car into a parking slot.
When firefighters got there, they discovered that the front of the car was on fire. Another car that was parked next to the burning vehicle also sustained damage from the fire.
The three occupants of the burning car managed to escape unharmed as the fire was put out.
It took some time before the fire’s cause was revealed.
