club welcomes Luton Town back for a talented midfielder*

Taylan Harris, a teenager from Reading, is expected to join Luton Town this month as part of two raids from the Premier League team.

Tom Holmes was loaned back to the Royals until the end of the season, but the Hatters previously signed him in January.

The Bedfordshire-based club also pursued Nelson Abbey, but the 20-year-old chose Greek powerhouse Olympiakos.

Harris, 18, has been a consistent member of Noel Hunt’s Under-21 team, but he is about to go to Kenilworth Road.

The teenager made his first-team debut in the EFL Trophy against Exeter City, coming on as a substitute.

He opened his career for the team in just three minutes, scoring the seventh goal in a historic 9-0 victory at St. James Park.

In all competitive games for the Academy and first team, he has scored nine goals.

Tonight, Thursday, February 1, the window shuts at 11 p.m. The team hopes to retain its top performances for the remainder of the season.
