Man, 30, is charged with murder after woman in her 20s was stabbed

A man has been charged with the attempted murder of a lady who was stabbed yesterday outside a Luton primary school. He appeared in court.

On Tuesday morning at approximately 8.30am, a woman in her 20s was repeatedly stabbed on Dunstable Road, leading to the arrest of Barze Faesal, 30, who does not have a fixed home.

She is being treated in a hospital after suffering severe injuries.

Following the incident, Bedfordshire police stated: “Officers will continue with high-visibility patrols in the area for community engagement and reassurance.”

Guards stood outside a tent that concealed the stabbing scene. On the scene was also a forensic squad.

Police are expected to stay in the neighbourhood to provide reassurance, although all of the kids were reported to be safe at the school—which the department did not identify.

Workers at the A Family Food Store, which is located next to the attack location, claimed they had heard about a woman being stabbed and rushed to the hospital, but they didn’t know how serious her injuries were.

In order to protect the safety and well-being of all students and staff, the school was placed on lockdown for almost an hour after the event.

“Parents have been informed about the incident, and any staff members or children who may need it can get emotional support.”

“Bedfordshire Police is investigating the stabbing of a woman near a school in Dunstable Road, Luton shortly after 8.30am this morning,” the force stated in a statement.

“The victim sustained severe injuries and was transported to the hospital.” A single individual has been taken into custody by the police after being arrested.
