Teenagers stab a man to death in Luton

Following a double stabbing, two teenage males were found guilty of murder.

After being stabbed in September in the Sundon Park neighbourhood of Luton, Omar Khan, 38, passed away at the scene.

According to Bedfordshire Police, Cheyenne Barnes, another victim who was with Mr. Khan, was brought to the hospital and had surgery for injuries that would change her life.

The 17-year-old boys—who aren’t allowed to be identified for legal reasons—will get their sentences in May.

The jury was informed that the defendants had met Mr. Khan and his 38-year-old partner in Sundon Park Parade behind Tesco with the intention of selling them drugs.

The youngsters were observed fleeing the site a short while later.

Both teenagers were also found guilty of wounding with intent and one boy was guilty of having an article with a blade or point.

The two adolescents were also found guilty of intentionally injuring someone, and one youngster was found guilty of possessing a weapon.

The Guildford Crown Court jury was told throughout the trial how one youngster had purchased sixty-three knives in the months preceding the murder.

One of the boys entered a guilty plea to possessing an offensive weapon in a public place prior to the trial, and they both acknowledged their involvement in drug supply.

Using forensic, phone, and CCTV evidence, detectives from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit were able to connect the lads to the crime.

The incident was deemed “incredibly tragic” by the investigation’s lead detective, Det Insp Justine Jenkins.

“We will continue to do everything within our power to apprehend those who use knives and endanger public safety,” the speaker declared.

“I sincerely hope that this conviction will serve as a wake-up call to others considering carrying a weapon.”
