Four people arrested after murder in Maidstone

Station Road was closed all day long while police dealt with the situation.

Four individuals have been taken into custody in relation to a Maidstone murder attempt. At 12.25 a.m. on , Kent Police were called to Station Road in response to claims that two individuals had been struck by a car nearby.

After emergency personnel and law enforcement arrived on the scene, one of the victims was taken to a hospital in London, where he is still receiving treatment for severe head injuries. After being brought to a nearby hospital, the second victim is anticipated to be released from treatment.

While emergency personnel remained in the vicinity, Station Road between Maidstone East train station and St Faiths Street was closed today. Pictures from the site show a police cordon surrounding The Society Rooms Weatherspoon bar and a noticeable police presence outside.

Police stopped a Vauxhall Corsa at services on the A299 in Faversham just after two in the morning. Three men and a woman who were inside were detained after being placed under arrest.

Station Road is still closed at this moment. According to the most recent report from the traffic monitoring website Inrix, Station Road is closed between Maidstone East station and St Faiths Street because of a police incident.
