Man charged with murder after shot dead Maidstone

A guy has been accused of killing a man who was shot and killed in Kent.

Around 10:45 GMT on Sunday, Andrew Jenkins, 54, of Rochester, was discovered wounded from a gunshot wound in Cambridge Crescent, Maidstone.
Jeffrey Mills faces charges of murder, two counts of possessing a prohibited weapon, and possessing ammunition without a guns licence.
The 54-year-old resident of Cambridge Crescent was placed under remand by magistrates prior to his 21st-March crown court hearing.

After a shooting in a residential street, a man has been charged with murder.

At 10.45 a.m. on Sunday, emergency personnel were rushed to Cambridge Crescent in Shepway, Maidstone, where a gunshot wound to the head of Rochester resident Andrew Jenkins, 54, resulted in his declaration of death.

Police, who stayed at the location all day yesterday, found a gun there and took into custody Jeffery Mills, 54, a person the victim knew.
Since then, he has been charged with two charges of possessing a prohibited weapon, homicide, and possessing ammunition without a guns licence.

He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Medway Magistrates Court later today.
