Manchester UnitedMourinho’s star Antony is expected to stay at the club this summer despite interest from Jose Fenerbahce, according to reports.
Earlier this week, it was reported the Turkish giants had expressed an interest in signing the winger before their transfer window closes. Clubs in Turkey have until September 18 to sign players, with Galatasaray recently announcing the arrival of Victor Osimhen.
Contradictory reports, though, have downplayed the likelihood of the Brazilian departing Old Trafford anytime soon. According to Fabrizio Romano, there is “no truth” to Fenerbahce’s alleged pursuit of Antony, and the 24-year-old is still devoted to Erik ten Hag’s team.
After spending £85.5 million to join United from Ajax in 2022, Antony had a challenging time adjusting to life in England. The elusive winger has struggled to establish a spot under Ten Hag despite contributing five assists and 11 goals for the Red Devils.Although Antony isn’t likely to make a move this summer, leaving in January isn’t completely out of the question. The United manager appears to prefer Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, and Amad Diallo; the Brazilian has only played one minute all season.
