Jack Grealish sent hilarious message after linking up with Aston Villa boss

Leyton Orient’s Jordan Graham has sent a hilarious message to Manchester City’s Jack Grealish, who he played with in Aston Villa’s academy. Manchester City barely squeaked past League One side Leyton Orient in the fourth round of the FA Cup as the Premier League champions came back from a first-half deficit with goals from Abdukodir Khusanov and Kevin de Bruyne. Grealish started the clash and played the full 90 minutes at Brisbane Road.

Graham of Leyton Orient was left out of the O’s squad for their match against Manchester City and has not played a significant role in Richie Wellen’s plans this season. Nonetheless, the 29-year-old was able to observe from Brisbane Road’s stands as his old comrade Grealish faced him. Before being promoted to the Villains’ first team, Graham and Grealish played together in Aston Villa’s junior system from 2002 to 2013. However, because Graham went on several loan stints, the two never played together with the senior squad.

After Manchester City’s victory, Grealish and Graham managed to catch up. Graham then shared a picture of themselves from the tunnel and their young team at Aston Villa, writing: “We began this trip 20 years ago! Actually, I was fine, but I can’t lie, we were some bad-looking youts bro. Seeing you perform live yesterday was enjoyable, family. I wish I could have joined you out there. Wholesome stuff. How does time pass? I’m proud of you, my child, so keep up the good work.”

“Time flies, son!” Grealish wrote as a comment on his Instagram story after reposting the image.

The 29-year-old has not been a major part of Pep Guardiola’s plans at Manchester City this season either and Grealish could end up opting to move away from the Etihad in the summer.
