3 Mansfield Town players sent fans stepping up message on League One future

Under Nigel Clough, Mansfield Town is currently aiming for promotion to League One.
Mansfield Town leads both Stockport County and Wrexham in the League Two standings.

The Stags will play Colchester United at home this weekend after winning 5-1 away at Bradford City in their previous match.

Here are three of their players who have the potential to advance to the third tier in the future as you wait.

Since joining Mansfield in the middle of the park in 2023, he has been an important member of the team. He just received a contract extension from the Nottinghamshire team as compensation for his outstanding performances this season.

This season, Reed, a 26-year-old, has made 42 appearances across all competitions for his current club, contributing two goals and three assists. Reed has been a constant. He has previously played for teams including Swindon Town, Peterborough United, and Sheffield United.

The attacker, who is only 23 years old, has enormous potential and will only become better from here on out. After spending the previous season on loan with Nottingham Forest in the Premier League, he was permanently acquired by the Stags in the summer.

Since then, Swan has scored ten goals and provided six assists for his teammates. He has provided Clough’s team with a number of crucial goals.
With 19 goals so far this season, he has been in excellent form for Mansfield. Field Mill will not be under any obligation to cash in on the 26-year-old during the upcoming transfer window because his contract there expires in June 2025.
In a report published by TEAMtalk last September, he was connected to a few clubs. They said Hull City, Millwall, Bolton Wanderers, Barnsley, and Plymouth Argyle were admirers.
