Mariners Star Looks Up To Los Angeles Lakers Man”

Lakers News: Julio Rodriguez, a star for the Mariners, looks up to LeBron James and Kobe Bryant

The fact that the qualities that Los Angeles Lakers icons Kobe Bryant and LeBron James most exemplified are applicable in many spheres of life is a major factor in their legendary status. Julio Rodriguez of the Seattle Mariners is an example of how someone who may not have witnessed them play can still be inspirational.

After winning AL Rookie of the Year the previous season and being named an All-Star in each of his big league seasons, the centre fielder is one of baseball’s up-and-coming young talents. Despite only being 22 years old, he now leads the AL in hits for the Mariners, a team that is vying for a postseason position.

was born during Kobe’s first NBA Championship win, and he continues to be inspired by the Lakers players.

During his most recent visit on the On Base with Mookie Betts podcast, Rodriguez revealed his passion for basketball to the Dodgers star. Rodriguez acknowledged that he is a major fan of James right now, but he started to look up to the legendary player after learning about Kobe:

I love LeBron James a lot.” However, if we’re talking about mindset and such, I feel like what I’ve read and seen about Kobe Bryant… You couldn’t really obtain access to the Dominican Republic (DR), so I would absolutely look into him and understand a little bit about him. I feel like he had an affect on people’s mentalities and sports in general based on what I always see on my feed. Anyone who can accomplish that, in my opinion, is someone I can really look up to.

Anyone may adopt the Mamba Mentality if they are prepared to put in the necessary effort, and Rodriguez has surely done just that. Rodriguez was not able to see much of Kobe in real-time because of his age and upbringing. However, Rodriguez was able to discover a lot about the Lakers icon and understand what he was all about because to the abundance of films, podcasts, and tales that are easily accessible these days.

Rodriguez is a youthful talent who is fast being recognised as one of the greatest players in his sport, much like Bryant and James. If he can fully commit to and adopt the Mamba Mentality, he may be able to make a lasting history in baseball, similar to what either Lakers great has done in the NBA.

James’s career is almost over, while Rodriguez is just starting what looks to be an incredible one. But with the Lakers training camp coming up soon, he is not done yet and is making the necessary progress.

LeBron was practising his jump shot in a recent video. It was fluid as he made many open jump shots, many of which were catch-and-shoot attempts, something the Lakers star may use more frequently this season.
