After a collision between a car and a motorbike this morning on Marple Road in the Offerton area, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson confirmed that police and paramedics were on the scene. A portion of the road, close to the intersection with Hillcrest Road, was blocked off. It is unknown at this time whether anyone has been taken to the hospital.
Traffic was being diverted away from the area, as well as some bus services. Stagecoach said in a post on X: “314/358/383/384 Due to a police Incident on Marple Rd/Hillcrest Rd services diverting via Dialstone Lane/Lisburne Lane both directions until further notice.” The North West Ambulance Service has also been contacted for a comment.

Marple Road is closed from Montagu Road to Lisburne Lane in both directions, according to the traffic alert service Inrix.
