Ole Miss kicker Caden Costa announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal on Thursday night. Costa just finished his redshirt sophomore season in Oxford. The scholarship kicker was suspended for one year in November of 2021 for use of a banned substance.
Costa started the 2021 season as a true freshman on fire, making 17-of-14 field goals before being suspended.
He missed the 2022 season in its entirety due to the suspension, This past season, Costa lost the starting job to Texas A&M transfer kicker Caden Davis.
Costa thanked Ole Miss and his rebel teammates as he announced he was entering the portal with two years of eligibility remaining.
