The Hurricanes are going after a top 2026 signal-caller
The Miami Hurricanes are going after a top 2026 quarterback in the same week that their top Transfer Portal quarterback target picks the Canes.
With offers from the likes of Oregon, Georgia, Florida State, Notre Dame, and Michigan, Brady Smigiel now has an offer from Miami. The 6-foot-5 and 205-pound passer is already becoming a national name. He hails from Newbury Park (Calif.) High School.
Miami has a history of signing quarterbacks from the Golden State. Pinole Valley (Calif.) High School is Gino Torretta’s high school home, and Orinda (Calif.) Miramonte would be the prep home for Ken Dorsey. #
According to Max Preps, the 2023 season saw Smigiel complete 282 of 479 passes, a 58.9% completion rate, 4,222 yards, 52 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions.
He’s a classic pocket quarterback who shows aggressiveness with throwing the football down the gridiron. He also has the arm talent and accuracy to be one of the nation’s most highly recruited 2026 recruits.
Here’s the sophomore film for Smigiel.
