Jim Harbaugh has been suspended for the remainder of the Michigan Wolverines’ regular season.
In total, he’s set to miss three games due to the ongoing investigation into Connor Stalions and Michigan’s sign-stealing controversy.
Yet, now there are also growing concerns that Harbaugh could face much, much stiffer penalties.
According to college football insider Bruce Feldman, Harbaugh may even be suspended for the entirety of Michigan’s season in 2024 too.
Sherrone Moore will be coaching his third game of the season today when Michigan travels to Maryland to play the Terrapins. The biggest game of Michigan’s season will be his final game against the Ohio State Buckeyes on November 25.
Regarding the off-field dispute, Michigan chose to back down and accept the three-game ban for Harbaugh after initially preparing to challenge the NCAA’s decision to suspend him. That being said, there will probably be more speculation about Harbaugh returning to the NFL if he is subject to even more penalties.
Before anything else, we need to know more about the NCAA’s decision about Harbaugh’s status for the 2024 season. A number of NFL teams are anticipated to look for a new head coach during this summer.
