It has been an inconsistent first campaign with Middlesbrough following his summer arrival last year.
The forward has suffered injury issues that has meant he’s only featured 27 times in the Championship so far this term (all stats from Fbref).
It was hoped he could be the forward to power the team to a top six finish this year, but he has bagged just 12 goals in the league with only a few games remaining.
But as the forward found his rhythm in the latter parts of the season, seven goals in his last nine games have demonstrated his potential.
Clubs will have half an eye on Middlesbrough’s Latte Lath
Middlesbrough supporter Dana Malt of FLW predicts that teams will be keeping a watch on Latte Lath as the summer transfer market approaches.
She does anticipate the forward staying at the Riverside after this season, though.
Malt told Football League World, “I think it’s a really difficult question to answer in regards to what I deem Emmanuel Latte Lath to be, mostly because his season has been punctured by injury.”
I don’t believe we’ve seen everything he has to give as a result.
While I’m hesitant to provide an exact figure for his worth, I do believe that clubs will be keeping a wary eye on him.
“I don’t think an offer in the summer will solidify any interest, if any, although he has a lot of positive qualities.
He is powerful, quick, nimble, and has good movement. He also always wants to participate in the play.
What we’re witnessing from him at the moment is composure, something he hasn’t had this season.
“Reports of interest in him in the summer wouldn’t surprise me, and let’s not forget
Clubs can sign players a little bit early, so it’s not too early for him to go on either. Morgan Rogers, for example, left Middlesbrough in January after six months there.
“It’s not completely ruled out, because I think teams are aware of players’ potential and are eager to capitalise on it.”
“Clubs may be keeping a watch on him, but I don’t think that will happen.”
Boro reportedly paid €5 (£4.3) million for Atalanta’s Latte Lath last summer.
Furthermore, the striker’s asking price will be impacted by the fact that he will repay the Serie A team up to 10% of any future transfer fees.
Latte Lath’s promising end to the season is encouraging for Middlesbrough
Before this recent run of goal scoring form, Latte Lath’s debut season in English football didn’t seem too promising.
It was concerning that he lacked composure in front of goal, but over the past month or two, he has allayed those fears.
The club will prioritise keeping him in the summer if he can continue his strong play into the upcoming season.
Chuba Akpom has been conspicuously absent this season, but Latte Lath is beginning to demonstrate that he is a capable long-term substitute for the forward, which bodes extremely well for the upcoming campaign.
