Man strugging for life after attack closes Middleton Shopping Centre

In an attack at Middleton Shopping Centre, a man sustained “life-threatening” injuries.

Police descended upon the mall this afternoon in response to allegations of a “assault.” According to police, they discovered a man who was gravely injured.

According to reports, the incident took place in the shopping center’s restrooms. Although it hasn’t been verified, reports claimed the man had been stabbed.

According to Greater Manchester Police, the man had “life-threatening injuries” and was taken from the scene to the hospital. There have been no takedowns.

Investigations into the event are still underway. Emergency personnel, including police, paramedics, and forensic experts, were reported to be “all over” the mall yesterday afternoon.

“At around 3.50pm yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, August 7, 2024), we were called to reports of an assault at Middleton Shopping Centre,” a GMP spokesperson said in a statement. Police discovered a man who was seriously hurt.

“He was brought to the hospital to receive treatment for injuries that were deemed potentially fatal. Investigations are ongoing, and no arrests have been made.”
