As Leeds United ‘explore’ a bid for the Championship star, Alex Neil confirms Millwall’s

Millwall produced one of the most interesting games of the season, drawing 2-2 away to Sheffield Wednesday, in yet another thrilling Saturday of Championship football. In other news, Hull City stunned the promotion contenders to give themselves a survival boost after rallying from behind to draw 3-3.

We still have a game on Monday, when QPR takes on struggling Luton Town in an attempt to build on their recent success. We have included all of the most recent information and transfer rumours related to the Championship in the interim.

Neil affirms Injury Crisis
Duncan Watmore will miss at least two games due to an injury, according to Millwall manager Alex Neil. He said, “He’s just carrying a bit of a quad [injury],” to South London News. It won’t take long. He might miss the next two.

Neil went on to say of his team’s 2-2 tie with Sheffield Wednesday: “We didn’t want it to be a frantic game.” Naturally, I watched our most recent game against Sheffield Wednesday at The Den, where we restarted the game, put it forward, and had a player on the second ball, but it wasn’t the original plan. We didn’t like it, especially in the first half, and it was end-to-end. I believed that we attempted to start play passes and open up the pitch, which may have made them more threatening than we were.

At the end of the first half, we were thrilled that the score was only 1-0, and that was the main topic of conversation. Additionally, we now have a fantastic opportunity to improve and give ourselves a chance to gain some points in the second half. The boys deserve all the praise. They rallied, I thought. I believed that we displayed quality when it was necessary for the two goals, and they fought, scraped, and did their small parts. The first touch by George Honeyman is excellent. Wints’ strike at the edge of the box after his superb finish gave us the lead.

The fact that we don’t see it through to that point is perhaps the one thing that really irritates me. The fact that we should move over and prevent the first pass from going outside of us is the issue I have with the goal. There isn’t much you can do about that, so I believe it’s challenging when the ball enters the box because it takes a flick on and misfoots us a little. However, we can definitely perform better in that first scenario.
