Joe Edwards reveals Casper De Norre injury update;:

Millwall were concerned the injury could keep him out for longer but the Belgian could be ready to return sooner rather than late.

When Casper De Norre might make a comeback from his injury has been determined by JOE Edwards.

Due to a calf strain, the Belgian midfielder was unable to play in last week’s 1-1 draw against Sunderland. Although there were concerns that the injury might keep him out of action for months, the Millwall manager stated that De Norre might be prepared to return to the field as early as mid-January.m

Before heading to Cardiff tomorrow, Edwards gave a virtual press conference, saying, “We got the news from the specialist.” We won’t see him until after Christmas, and based on the diagnosis, he should be well enough to begin training by mid-January. After that, it will just be a matter of monitoring his progress in the interim.

“And whenever we do approach that point, it will be interesting to watch how he develops because it is unclear how fit and prepared he is to train vs match fit and prepared to join the team.

It’s still disappointing since there are still a number of games left between now and then in which we could lose a crucial player. However, it’s a difficult injury, and while he was visiting the specialist, we were concerned that it would be longer, but it doesn’t seem to be.

Following the Sunderland match, Edwards described De Norre’s injury as “unusual.” “It’s quite an unusual injury,” he stated. It’s a lower calf injury that has also somewhat impacted the achilles. It’s not like the others.
