Millwall transfer confession as Hibs striker finally hits:

The Scotland international has taken time to find his feet in London but has three goals in his last six games

Kevin Nisbet hopes his Milwall career is about to explode into life after admitting he’s taken time to adjust in London.

The ex-Hibs striker has endured a stop-start beginning to life at the Den, partly due to a series of fitness and injury issues since his £2million summer move from Easter Road. But the Scotland international has rediscovered his goalscoring form, netting three goals in his last six games for the Championship side.

Nisbet confessed it’s taken him longer than expected to find his feet in England but the 26-year-old wants to make up for it in the second half of the season.

He said: “It’s been okay so far, although I think I probably should be on more goals than I am now. But it’s picked up in the last few weeks which is good. I’ve been trying to get fit and sharp so hopefully, my form can continue.

“I think I’ve got that scoring streak in me. I’ve not scored as many as I wished I had but I’ve had some injuries and stuff and not been fully fit all season, but now I’m feeling fully fit and the goals are coming.

“I think I’m probably past that settling-in period now. I think I’m settled in London and at the club. It’s obviously been a tricky few months, but I think I’m past that now and want to score as many goals as I can.

“I’ve been like that my whole career. I’m quite an instinctive finisher so if I get a couple of chances in a game, I back myself to go and put them away.”
