Morecambe boss aiming to down high flyers*

Tomorrow, Morecambe travels to Crewe Alexandra, and Ged Brannan acknowledges that a win in this particular match is necessary for the team to advance to the playoffs.
With seven victories and just one loss in their previous 11 games, the Shrimps, who are currently third in League Two and three points out of the top seven, take on Crewe.

 

During that stretch, Crewe has defeated the top two teams in the division—Mansfield Town and Stockport County—and has the fourth-best home record in the league this year.

It may have gone unnoticed, though, that Morecambe has the sixth-best away return in League Two.
After hearing those figures, the Morecambe boss remarked, “Well, that evens itself out doesn’t it?”

We shall go play as usual because we have no fear of anyone.

“The crew is in the air. They operate well together and are a well-organized team, but we have already done our research on them.
