Morecambe boss emerges on radar of league two rivals..

Morecambe’s manager is being eyed by their fellow League Two club ahead of next season and has worked as a coach there before.

Brannan, 52, took over at the Mazuma Stadium in November last year but his future is up in the air at the moment.

According to The Sun, Accrington’s John Doolan is interested in luring him to the Wham Stadium as his number two.

With two games left, Morecambe, who are now in 15th place in the standings, have nothing to gain from these results.

They lost Derek Adams to Ross County earlier in the season, and they were demoted from League One the previous year.

Since taking over for the North West team late last year, Brannan has won 10 of his 29 games in command.

The Liverpudlian played midfield for a number of teams, including Accrington, Morecambe, Wigan Athletic, Manchester City, and Tranmere Rovers.

In the near future, the latter might attempt to entice him away, in which case they would be in eighth place.

Early in March, Stanley fired longtime employee John Coleman and gave the position to Doolan.

If Accrington called for Brannan, he would have to make a choice. Even though he is now the best at Morecambe, would it be worthwhile for him to give up his position and work as an assistant?

The Shrimps’ opponents were promoted to the third division as a consequence of their weekend’s 2-0 loss at Stockport County.

They still have two games left against Forest Green Rovers and Swindon Town, having now dropped their previous three straight.
