Charlie Brown, a striker for Morecambe, has agreed to a new deal at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium.
The 24-year-old, who signed a contract with the club last June for a year, has extended his stay through 2025, with an additional year’s option.
Brown, a former Chelsea youth player who has also represented MK Dons and Cheltenham Town, has four goals in eighteen games for the Shrimps.
“I’m absolutely delighted. The gaffer, Ged Brannan, has shown a lot of faith and trust in me. I’m glad that my efforts and on-field performances have earned me a new deal,” he stated.I can now play outside and enjoy myself without any restrictions. Right now, I’m obsessed with football, and I can’t wait for this one to end and the next to begin.
A week and a half after Morecambe manager Ged Brannan revealed in a supporters’ forum that several players had received offers, Brown signed a new contract.
Except for four games, all of Brown’s appearances have been managed by Brannan, who took over for Derek Adams at the end of November.
The Morecambe manager remarked, “I’m thrilled. We’ve started planning for next season and he’s in our plans.”
Since I’ve been at the club, he’s performed incredibly well; he took the risk and has excelled.
He’s a fantastic guy, both with the other players and in the changing room.
“He is aware of the style of play we like. He is a smart player who moves a lot off the ball, just how we want our attackers to play.
