For the remainder of the season, forward Ged Garner has been loaned to the Shrimps from Barrow AFC.
After 6.5 years at Fleetwood Town, the 25-year-old signed a record transfer deal with the Bluebirds in January 2023.
Before making an impact in the starting lineup, Garner progressed through the Highbury development system and had loan stints with Southport, Bamber Bridge, FC United, and Gateshead.
The forward scored his first goal as a professional in November 2018’s 4-1 FA Cup victory over Alfreton Town, marking his senior debut.
After 78 games and 15 goals, the Liverpool native moved to Barrow, where in 39 appearances, he has four goals and four assists.
“I’m really excited, I can’t wait to get going,” Garner remarked in reference to his arrival at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium.
“I felt it was a very tight game between two very good sides when Barrow played Morecambe, so I knew I was joining a decent side when I knew I was coming here.”
“As for me, I want to come play here and try to score as many goals as I can before the season ends, in the hopes that it would help the football team go up the standings.
“Just know that I’ll work hard and hopefully chip in with a few goals & assists and give my best to the club.”
TP Financial Solutions will provide Ged with sponsorship while he plays with the Shrimps.
