Motherwell man banned from Jet2 for life after ‘attacking crew

A ‘violent’ passenger has been banned from Jet2 for life after allegedly attacking cabin crew on a Glasgow to Tenerife flight.

The airline described the incident on Wednesday as ‘some of the most appalling behaviour ever seen on one of their flights’.

Video captured Garda officers removing a topless man from a plane in footage later circulated online. He was reportedly seen screaming as he was handcuffed and hauled off the flight.

Jet2 revealed on Thursday it had immediately banned him for life from flying with them, while an investigation into the incident remains ongoing. The airline added that it would be “vigorously” pursuing him “for the recovery of all costs incurred by this diversion, which will be a five-figure sum”.

Fortunately, the vast majority of clients have a great time on their flights and continue to have a wonderful vacation. We will keep working hard to deliver our VIP customer care as always.Glasgow Live was informed by Garda authorities that a passenger had been placed under arrest. A representative stated: “Gardaí
