Blackburn Rovers let the attacker link up with the Scottish Premiership side on loan in the January transfer window.
Since then, in nine games while at Fir Park, Vale, 23, has netted two goals.
He and fellow Rovers player Georgie Gent are targets for The Well. Kettlewell stated, as the Daily Record reported, “I want to keep as many good players as I can.” Absolute respect to Blackburn, who have been wonderful to work with. I always have respect for the men at Blackburn, and I think that they are now taking notice of their success and may even have plans for them going forward.
“But do I want my football team to have talented players? Naturally, I do. I believe that everyone can see Jack Vale’s and Georgie Gent’s, thus I want them.
He has one more year left on his contract at Ewood Park, which runs until June 2025.
However, with competition for a starting slot at his position, his prospects of playing regularly for John Eustace’s first squad remain uncertain.
Vale was a player with The New Saints before Rovers made a move to sign him in 2017. Since then, he has made 25 appearances for the Championship team in his career, 22 of which were during the previous season under former manager Jon Dahl Tomasson. He has also scored twice in those games.
In order to gain experience, the former Wales youth international has previously spent loan periods at Barrow, Rochdale, and FC Halifax Town away from Lancashire.
Before returning to his parent club this past winter, he played for Lincoln City in League One for the first half of this season, where he scored two goals in 17 appearances.
Motherwell would like that Vale stay put because he has just made a good impression on them.
At the moment, Blackburn’s main goal is to remain in the second division. They are back in action Thursday evening away at Bristol City after drawing 0-0 at home against promotion-chasing Southampton their previous outing.
