A major injury was sustained by a 54-year-old guy from Nashua, New Hampshire.
Near Exit 33, it occurred at approximately 4:40 a.m., according to Massachusetts State Police. The highway was wet at the moment due to the rain.
Chaves lost control of his 2021 Chevy Colorado pickup truck while driving south on I-95, spun into the concrete median barrier, and stopped in the left travel lane, according to investigators.
The man from Nashua was driving a 2020 Dodge Ram pickup truck when he lost control of his vehicle and collided into Chaves’ truck from the driver’s side.
While the second motorist was hospitalized with significant injuries, Chaves passed away at the site.
For approximately two hours, first responders blocked three of the four southbound lanes in order to conduct the rescue and investigation. The testimony in the Dedham murder trial of Karen Read was ultimately postponed due to the fatal collision and the resulting traffic gridlock.
